Animals

🔎 Who’s that animal?

Saw an animal? Tell me where you saw it, how big it was next to you, and what it was covered in, and I’ll show you the ones it could be.

Getting the animals ready…

How it works

Three questions, three big boxes each. Each answer leaves fewer animals, and the last screen shows the ones on Peabody that fit, with their pictures. Tap one to read about it and check: does it look like what you saw? There’s no camera and no photo, so nothing about where you are is sent anywhere.

Be a good animal spotter

  • Watch from a distance and stay still. Animals come closer to quiet people.
  • Never pick up or feed a wild animal, even a small one.
  • Look for clues: its size next to something you know, its color, how it moves, and the sound it makes.
  • Draw it in your notebook, or print a backyard bingo card before a walk.

Why there’s no camera

Photo apps that name animals send the picture to a company’s computers, and many need an account. Peabody’s finder asks three questions instead, so it works for any child, and the answers stay on the device. It knows the hundred animals on Peabody, so an animal it doesn’t know won’t be on the list.

For grown-ups: Peabody has no ads, not one, and nothing to sell your child. The Kids Pick, an independent kids' directory, rates its games 90/100. See what other free kids' sites load · Grown-ups, sign in · Already have a profile?
