• ✂️ Sharp! A grown-up does this part.
• 👶 Small parts! Keep them away from little brothers and sisters.
• 🎈 A grown-up blows up the balloon, and picks up popped bits.

Gather first

• Flat cardboard · a piece of cereal box
• Straws · 3
• 2 wooden skewers, for axles
• A bottle cap · 4 bottle caps, all the same size
• A balloon · 1
• ✂️ Kid scissors
• 🩹 Tape
• 🍢 A wooden skewer 👋 grown-up

The big idea: Push air out the back, and the air pushes the car forward.
