Gather first

• 🥚 Eggs · 1 raw egg, and a spare
• Paper cups · 2 paper cups
• Soft stuffing: cotton balls, bubble wrap or an old sock
• Straws · 3 or more
• Rubber bands · 2
• 🛍️ Plastic bags · 1, for the parachute
• String or yarn · 4 pieces, each as long as your arm
• A step stool or stepladder, for the grown-up
• 🩹 Tape
• ✂️ Kid scissors

The big idea: Slow the fall and soften the stop, and a raw egg can survive a big drop.
