Mini Cracker Pizzas for kids: the whole recipe

Pizza Faces! They make pizzas, and then the pizzas make faces back. Rude, but funny. This easy no-cook recipe is for ages 5 to 9 (grades K–3rd), takes about 15 minutes and serves 2. Crumb, our tiny chef, reads every step aloud with a picture, so a child can follow along.

Ingredients

  • 8 round crackers (or gluten-free crackers)
  • ¼ cup pizza sauce
  • ½ cup grated mozzarella
  • 16 olive slices

Tools

A plate, A big spoon.

Steps

  1. Wash your hands with soap for twenty seconds, then let's make Pizza Faces!
  2. Line up 8 round crackers on a big plate. They're your pizza crusts!
  3. Smooth a spoonful of ¼ cup of pizza sauce over each cracker with the back of the spoon.
  4. Sprinkle ½ cup of grated mozzarella over the sauce.
  5. Press 16 olive slices onto the pizzas for eyes, two on each.
  6. Push a few cheese strands into a mouth on each pizza. Make every face different!
  7. Say hi to your pizzas! Look, they're blinking, and one is winking.
