Fruit Pizza for kids: the whole recipe
Rice Cake Pizzas! No oven, no problem. The toppings are all fruit. Mm-hmm! This easy no-cook recipe is for ages 5 to 9 (grades K–3rd), takes about 15 minutes and serves 4. Crumb, our tiny chef, reads every step aloud with a picture, so a child can follow along.
Ingredients
4 rice cakes
¼ cup cream cheese
6 strawberries
¼ cup blueberries
1 banana
Tools
A plate, A butter knife, Measuring spoons, Measuring cups, A cutting board, A sharp knife (grown-up).
Steps
Wash your hands with soap for twenty seconds, then let's make Rice Cake Pizzas!
Set 4 rice cakes on a big plate. These are your pizza crusts!
Spread ¼ cup of cream cheese on each one for pizza sauce.
Grown-up step: A grown-up slices the 6 strawberries into thin coins.
Lay strawberry slices on top, like pepperoni. Count them: 6!
Slice the 1 banana into coins with a blunt knife.
Add banana coins for the cheese.
Dot on some blueberries for olives.
Now make each pizza yours: a face, a flower, a rainbow, anything!
