📏 Size sorter
Three animals. Tap the smallest first, then the next, then the biggest. If you get one wrong, I’ll stand the two side by side so you can see.
Lining up three animals…
How the size game works
The sorter uses the 97 animals with a checked size: their length, or their height for the ones that stand tall. The three in a round are always far enough apart in size to tell, and the same three never come twice in one visit. A round with no wrong taps adds a star to your streak; your best streak stays on this device.
Longer, or taller?
Most animals are measured nose to tail, the way you would lay a ruler beside them. A few are measured by how tall they stand instead, because that is how you would see them: a giraffe, a penguin, a kangaroo, an ostrich. A snake can be much longer than a cat but sit much lower, so if a round surprises you, the side-by-side picture after a wrong tap shows which way each one was measured.
Sorting smallest to biggest, without a screen
Print a few animal fact cards, shuffle them, and line them up on the floor from smallest to biggest. Then turn them over and check the sizes printed on each card. It works with toy animals too: stand them in a row and guess before you look them up.
