Best audiobooks for families

A good audiobook for a car trip works for several ages at once and has a narrator who does not slow it down. These have been favorites of libraries and families for years. Borrow most free with a library card through Libby or hoopla.

Chosen from ALSC Odyssey Award winners and honor lists and long-running family favorites; titles checked on Wikipedia, Oct 2026. Checked 2026-10-25. Nobody paid to be here. The buy links are plain search links, not affiliate links, so Peabody earns nothing from them.
