Desk research from the maker's own pages. Not yet tried by us. Checked 2026-10-24.
A free website of simple educational games and virtual manipulatives for elementary students, running since 2001. Kids practice counting, place value, fractions, telling time, spelling and reading, and teachers use tools like a geoboard, hundreds chart, fraction strips and a classroom timer. It works on computers, tablets and phones with no login. A paid membership removes ads and lets teachers curate pages for students.
Our take: A dependable free pick for K-5 math and reading practice in class or at home; not an AI tool.
Checked in a browser
A browser check on 2026-10-25: what loads, the ads and trackers we saw, and what a child meets first. Not a hands-on test.
| Child safety: 2 out of 5 | Google AdSense ads loaded on this K-5 site (2 ad frames), so ads not picked by the site owner can appear; links out to sister sites. |
|---|---|
| Data: 2 out of 5 | Google AdSense (googlesyndication, googleads.g.doubleclick.net) set a third-party DoubleClick cookie before consent, with Google Analytics and Cloudflare analytics. |
| Ease: 5 out of 5 | Big picture tiles with one-word names (Fruit Fall, Cube, Basketball) make it easy for a young child to pick a game. |
| Cost honesty: 4 out of 5 | Games are free; a house link to the related Manipulatives.com site was the only other offer seen. |
What we found
- 6 third-party sites contacted; 2 known ad hosts (Google AdSense), Google Analytics, Cloudflare
- 5 cookies set, 1 from a third-party domain (doubleclick.net)
- 2 Google ad frames on the home page
- 3 outbound link sites (classplayground.com, manipulatives.com, techlearning.com)
From the test: Simple, well-made learning games for young children that are easy to start, but Google ads load on the page.
