Free online timers: every one we checked
46 free timers that run in a web browser, sorted by what they are for: plain countdowns, visual timers for young children, classroom timers for the board, Pomodoro timers for focus, and the fun ones. We opened every site on 29 October 2026, noted what is free, whether there are ads, and whether you have to sign up.

Ads is what we saw when the timer page loaded in a US browser with no ad blocker: we listed every ad network the page contacted. "A few" means Google AdSense alone; "many" means 20 or more ad and tracking companies bidding to show an ad. A few smaller sites we read from the page's code instead, and say so. Kid appeal is our own 1 to 5 judgement of how much a child would want to watch it. Sites change, so treat this as true in October 2026.

Timer videos
Videos that count down. They are not tools: you cannot change the length, and they play inside a video site.

How we checked
We searched Google for 22 timer phrases families and teachers use (timer for kids, visual timer, classroom timer, fun timer, toothbrush timer, Pomodoro timer for kids and more), opened every free timer that came up, and used each one. While each page loaded we listed the ad and tracking companies it contacted. Where a fact could not be seen on the site, we left it out. Four timers people still mention are gone: Pomodoro Kitchen has no website, cuckoo.team is suspended, timer.guru does not load and the Marinara Timer's domain is for sale. Time Timer, the original red-disc visual timer, has apps but no web timer, so it is not in the tables.
