Desk research from the maker's own pages. Not yet tried by us. Checked 2026-10-24.
A free craft blog with over 2,500 projects for kids, run by a crafter named Maggy. Projects use paper, card, recycled materials and simple supplies: origami, puppets, cards, bookmarks, printables, and lots of seasonal and holiday crafts. Crafts are sorted for preschoolers (0-5), kids (5+) and tweens and teens, and many have step-by-step photos or videos on its YouTube channel. Maggy has also written two print craft books, one aimed at ages 8 and up.
Our take: A dependable free craft idea source for parents and teachers; best browsed by an adult who then sets up the project, given the ads.
Checked in a browser
A browser check on 2026-10-25: what loads, the ads and trackers we saw, and what a child meets first. Not a hands-on test.
| Child safety: 2 out of 5 | Programmatic ads were shown (an IKEA banner and an auto-playing muted video player, 12 ad frames), so adult-oriented ads are possible. |
|---|---|
| Data: 1 out of 5 | 28 ad networks and ID-sync / data broker services (id5, LiveRamp rlcdn, LiveIntent, Tapad, Eyeota, Neustar agkn) fired before any consent. |
| Ease: 3 out of 5 | Big craft category tiles, but ad banners and a video player take up part of the screen. |
| Cost honesty: 4 out of 5 | Free crafts; an email sign-up for 'freebies' and links to buy supplies. |
What we found
- 97 third-party sites contacted on the first visit
- 28 known ad networks and 10 trackers, including 6 data broker or ID-sync services
- 125 cookies set before consent, from 55 third-party domains
- 12 ad frames; an IKEA ad was fixed at the bottom of the screen
From the test: Nice craft ideas, but the first visit loaded a heavy ad and data-broker stack with ads on screen; better for a parent to browse than a child.
