AI Duet
By Yotam Mann with Google Magenta and Creative Lab. Visit AI Duet
Desk research from the maker's own pages. Not yet tried by us. Checked 2026-10-24.
A 2017 browser piano experiment. You play a few notes on the on-screen keys, your computer keyboard or a MIDI keyboard, and the computer plays a short reply based on your melody. You do not need to know piano; pressing keys and listening is the point. It is a simple way to show kids that a computer can respond to music, and the code is open.
Our take: Worth a few minutes in a music or AI lesson; not a tool for learning piano.
Checked in a browser
A browser check on 2026-10-25: what loads, the ads and trackers we saw, and what a child meets first. Not a hands-on test.

|---|---|
| Data: 4 out of 5 | Only Google Analytics/Tag Manager were contacted, plus youtube.com for an embedded video; no ad hosts. |
| Ease: 3 out of 5 | The page is a description; the 'Launch experiment' button is above the fold, and the video area showed as black bars. |
| Cost honesty: 5 out of 5 | Free; no price shown. |
