An online board where teachers, students and families post text, photos, links, audio and video onto a shared online board. Teachers use it to collect ideas and student work in one place, and students can post and comment. Paid school plans add student accounts, content safety tools, analytics and links to learning platforms. Newer AI features generate images and ready-made boards.
Our take: A good class tool when a school account manages who can see and post; families should not set up open boards for young kids on their own.

What's good
- Very easy for kids to post to
- Text, images, audio and video in one place
- No ads or data sales
- Says it won't train AI on personal data
Watch for
- Boards made by other users may collect more data than Padlet does
- Free plan is very small
- Content safety tools only on paid plans
- Under-13 use depends on the school
Data and privacy
Padlet says it does not sell or rent personal data, shows no ads, and does not use personal data to train AI. All posts go through automated content checks and flagged ones may be seen by staff; the privacy policy itself does not discuss children, which is left to the terms. Read the privacy policy.
